Commercial & industrial

Industries we work with

Exterior cleaning is judged differently in a distribution yard, a school and a managed office block. Here is how Arctic supports each type of organisation across Liverpool, Merseyside and Lancashire.

Sectors

Nine sectors, one exterior cleaning contractor

Each sector below sets out the practical requirements we plan around and the Arctic services that most often apply.

Facilities Management

Planned exterior maintenance across single sites and managed portfolios.

FM teams need exterior cleaning that arrives when it is scheduled, evidences what was done and does not create problems for the site team. We work to an agreed specification and frequency, provide RAMS and site-specific risk assessments ahead of mobilisation, and issue before-and-after photography with each visit so you can report internally without chasing us.

  • Agreed schedules and frequencies
  • RAMS and COSHH documentation before mobilisation
  • Before-and-after evidence per visit
  • Single point of contact across multiple sites

Construction

Exterior handover cleans, sparkle cleans and post-build surface restoration.

At handover the exterior tells the client whether the job was finished properly. We remove cement splashes, render smears, adhesive residue, protective film marks and general site soiling from glazing, cladding, frames and hard landscaping, working to your programme dates and site induction requirements.

  • Exterior handover and sparkle cleans
  • Glazing, cladding and frame decontamination
  • Hard landscaping and forecourt washdown
  • Work sequenced around your programme

Industrial & Manufacturing

Production environments cleaned around operational constraints.

Manufacturing sites carry contamination that ordinary cleaning does not shift — process dust, oils, carbon and atmospheric fallout on cladding, structures and hard standing. We survey first, agree the method and, where water is unsuitable, dry ice blasting can be considered for equipment and machinery cleaning.

  • Cladding, structure and hard standing cleaning
  • Equipment and machinery cleaning options
  • Shutdown and out-of-hours working where agreed
  • Site-specific risk assessment for each area

Warehousing & Distribution

Large-footprint cladding, yards, loading bays and high-level glazing.

Distribution sites are large, busy and rarely stop. We plan access around vehicle movements, clean cladding and high-level glazing from ground level with long-reach systems, and restore yards, service roads and loading bays with rotary surface cleaning.

  • High-level cladding and glazing from ground level
  • Yard, service road and loading bay cleaning
  • Access planned around vehicle movements
  • Traffic management agreed with your site team

Commercial Property

Façades, glazing and common areas kept presentable for tenants and viewings.

Presentation drives occupancy. We maintain façades, glazing, entrances and external common areas on a planned cycle, and can mobilise one-off cleans ahead of marketing photography, viewings or lease events.

  • Planned façade and glazing maintenance
  • Pre-marketing and pre-viewing cleans
  • Clear written scopes and quotations
  • Minimal disruption to occupiers

Retail

Shopfronts, signage and forecourts cleaned outside trading hours.

Retail frontage is judged from the pavement. We clean glazing, frames, signage, canopies and entrance areas on a frequency that keeps the unit consistently presentable, and work before opening or after closing where required.

  • Shopfront glazing and signage cleaning
  • Forecourt and entrance pressure washing
  • Cleaning outside trading hours where agreed
  • Consistent frequency across multiple units

Hospitality

Hotels, bars and restaurants kept guest-ready inside operating hours.

Guests notice glass, terraces and entrances first. We schedule around service periods and events, clean external seating areas and terraces, and maintain glazing and façades so the venue photographs as well as it trades.

  • Glazing, terraces and external seating areas
  • Cleaning scheduled around service and events
  • Grease and traffic film removal on hard surfaces
  • Discreet, uniformed operatives

Education

Schools, colleges and campuses cleaned safely around students and staff.

Education sites need cleaning that fits the calendar and the safeguarding requirements. We favour holiday and out-of-hours periods, clean from ground level with long-reach systems rather than ladders, and provide method statements and risk assessments for the site team in advance.

  • Holiday-period and out-of-hours programmes
  • Ground-level, ladder-free high-level cleaning
  • Documented risk assessments for site teams
  • Playground, walkway and canopy cleaning

Housing & Property Management

Blocks, estates and communal areas maintained on a planned cycle.

Managing agents and housing providers need predictable costs and evidence for residents. We work to a fixed schedule across blocks and estates, clean communal glazing, render, walkways and bin stores, and clear gutters before autumn to reduce water ingress and callouts.

  • Planned communal glazing and render cleaning
  • Gutter clearance ahead of winter
  • Walkways, bin stores and car park cleaning
  • Evidence packs for resident communications
